New Hair...New Clothes!

Here is a picture of Adrienne's new hair color. She thought it would be something fun for the summer.

Nana also took her on a shopping spree at the Limited Too. She came back with a big bag full of clothes! Can anyone say spoiled? All the clothes are super cute and she has already picked her "first day of school" outfit.

9 months old

Adisynne is 9 months old today. She now has eight teeth; four on the bottom and four on the top. I am hoping now that they have all broke through the skin that we might get some better sleep. We have had a tough couple weeks!

Her newest thing is hugging people and saying, "ahh". It is so sweet to see her showing her love for people.

She loves to play with Adrienne. If Adrienne has friends over, she wants to be right in the middle of everything they are doing. Most of the time Adrienne doesn't mind and she tries to include her.

She only ate baby food for about a month and a half, and now just eats regular food, along with her formula. Her favorite foods are asparagus, carrots, bananas, and toast. She also likes the Gerber Graduates meat sticks and sweet potato puffs.

Here is Adrienne's new haircut. We also dyed it a medium brown. She looks so grown up. I will post a picture of the new color later.

This is her other crab. We have yet to find the missing crab. The neighbor kids have been over helping her try to find it, but he hasn't turned up yet.

We got to Michigan last Saturday evening. We will be here through this Sunday. Adrienne's birthday is Friday and she is excited to go to a restaurant that sings when it is your birthday. She has picked Texas Roadhouse. One of her friends big brother works at the one near our home. She found out that they have you sit on a saddle when they sing, and she thought that sounded fun. Kalamazoo just opened a Texas Roadhouse here, so it worked out perfect.

Missing Hermit Crab

Adrienne and her friends were playing with her hermit crabs, and they didn't put the lid on well enough, and one of the crab's decided he would move out! He has been missing some where in our house for about three days. His shell is like the one pictured above. I am certain at this point we will probably start smelling him soon. I was hoping that since we have two cats, they might find him, but so far no luck. Hermit crabs can move very quickly, but don't move that often. Because they are "hermits", they like to hide. We have checked what seems like every inch of this house, and no luck!!

We're having a girl!!

The ultrasound couldn't have went better. Everything is normal, and they moved my due date up a week! The offical name and spelling will be Avery Lynn.

New Pictures

Adisynne can now stand on her own. She is taking anywhere from 1-3 steps, and then she goes down into the crawling position.
Adrienne's birthday is next Friday. I cannot believe she is going to be 8 years old.

She has had a great summer. I don't know if this picture shows it the best, but she is so tan. She starts school on August 13, so we are going to try to have a fun, relaxing next few weeks.

Adisynne's newest accomplishment is learning how to clap. She also says "yea" when doing it. It is too cute!!

Don't forget to take the "Will the baby be a boy or girl?" quiz on the side of the blog.

Ultrasound

On Friday we will know what the sex of our baby is. Our appointment is at 8:00am, with my regular appointment following at 8:30am. I am a little nervous about us getting there on time, as the traffic into St. Louis is horrible at that time of morning. Last time I had an appointment at 8:00am, I left home at 7:00am, and did not get to the doctors until 8:20am. It is usually only a 15 minute drive!!! I have already warned everyone that we will be leaving at 6:45am, so hopefully we will be there on time and everything will go smoothly.

We don't have a preference either way what the baby is. I do hope the baby cooperates with us and we actually get to find out though. If it is a girl, we are all set on clothes and everything else for that matter. If it is a boy, we have some shopping to do! If it is a girl we have decided on the name Averie Lynn and a boy Joshua David.

I will keep everyone updated and let you know on Friday what we found out!

Fourth of July

Adrienne and her friends Zachary and Josh. We watched fireworks that were over the lake my parents live on.
Adrienne and Josh enjoying a hot dog. They also ate smores. Adrienne likes hers with marshmallow in the middle and two chocolates on the outside.
Adrienne with sparklers. She was running around yelling, "This is the best Fourth of July ever!!!"
Papa and Aunt Kimmy sitting by the fire.
Fireworks started at about 9:00pm, and lasted until about 12:00am. Adrienne made it the whole time, but I had to go to bed at 10:45pm! The fireworks were great. They were done by people living on the lake.

Riding horses and playing with Sophie

Adrienne riding Uncle Michael's new horse. She was the first person to ever ride him. He did a great job with her.
Adrienne had a great time playing with Sophie.
This is one of Sophie's puppies. His name is Moose, and is going to a new home on Friday.

Adrienne riding Reba with Aunt Jan.

Adisynne riding Reba with Aunt Jan. She loved her first horse ride. She was smiling from ear to ear. She even hung onto the saddle and reins.

Fun Pictures

Adrienne and Adisynne cuddling in the morning. Adisynne loves to wake Adrienne up.
Josh decided we would make an unplanned visit to Michigan, and while I was in Adrienne's room packing, Adisynne crawled into her suit case in her room. The lid closed and she started crying. When I walked back into her room, this is where she was. Adisynne cuddling with her baby doll. She loves to poke at their eyes, and give them kisses.
