Adisynne had a plastic bag stuck to her foot. She was walking all over the house with it. She finally got it off.

Doctor's Appointment

My doctor's appointment went well yesterday. I finally gained a good amount of weight, putting my total weight gain at 11 pounds! She had a c-section date for me, December 3, then I had to tell her I was moving! She said that she would write the date in my file, and maybe the doctor in Michigan would keep it the same.

On another note, Adisynne slept from 9:30pm-6:00am without any crying or wake ups!! She drank a bottle and went back to bed until 7:30am.

A little of everything

The past few nights of "tough love" with Adisynne have gone better than I expected. The first night she cried for twenty minutes. It was horrible at the time. I felt sorry for Josh, because not only did he have to hear Adisynne crying at 12:30am, but also had to deal with me crying! Last night she only cried for 7 minutes, and I didn't cry at all! Hopefully things continue this way. I have felt very rested the past few days, and its something that I defiantly need right now.

I have my last doctors appointment at Washington University tomorrow. I have to drink a glucose drink, wait an hour, then have my blood drawn. I then have my regular appointment afterward. I will be transferring to Bronson, in Michigan, and seeing the same doctor that delivered Adisynne. I hope to get my c-section date at my October appointment.

Our friends Wayne and Amy and their kids are coming to stay with us next weekend. We are excited to show them around!

9 month check up

Adisynne had her 9 month check up today. She didn't need any shots, so the visit went smoothly.

She is 19.8 lbs, and 28 1/4 inches tall. This falls in the 60th percentile for both height and weight.

She is doing everything that a nine month old should be doing and more. He labeled her as "advanced"!

We talked about her sleeping habits, which are less than desirable right now. He basically told me that by now she should be sleeping all night, and that I need to show her "tough love", and let her cry it out. I know I need to break the pattern that we have developed, but it is easier said than done. I'll let everyone know how it works out.

O'Fallon Homecoming Festival

Many of the rides had speakers blasting out music. Adisynne loved dancing to the music.

Here they are getting ready to ride a ride I couldn't believe Adrienne went on. It looks innocent in this picture, but when it gets to the top, it tips you so far up on the side. The little boy had a terrified look on his face the whole time, but Adrienne loved it.

O'Fallon Homecoming Parade

O'Fallon starts school next week, and they have their homecoming before school starts. These are pictures from the homecoming parade last night.

Daddy and Adisynne. It has not been cooler than 100 degrees in two weeks. The heat index has been between 105-110 degrees! We stopped and got plenty of water before the parade to keep the kids hydrated. They also passed out Popsicles at the beginning and end of the parade.

Walking!!!

Adisynne woke up from her afternoon nap yesterday, and she started walking! Up until now she has only taken 1-3 steps, when we put her into the walking position. Now she is just letting go of stuff and walking on her own. She has taken up to 9 steps before going down. It was amazing to see her little self walking around the living room. Josh, Adrienne, and I could not get enough of it!

Diva

Adrienne went to the mall yesterday and used her gift card at the Limited Too. Even though she can be a tomboy, she also loves to be a girly girl. She picked out new lip balm, headbands, an eye mask for sleeping, and two necklaces.

Caged Animals

Adrienne thought it would be a good idea to make Adisynne a cage. She then got into the "cage" to play with her.

Adrienne's new skateboard

Here is the new skateboard that Adrienne earned for good behavior/chores. The neighbor kids have already taught her skateboard "lingo". She keeps talking about bowls and half pipes. If she doesn't have stitches or a broken bone by the end of the summer, I will be shocked.

Hermit Crab........FOUND..........ALIVE!!!!!

I have been meaning to give an update on our missing hermit crab; and yes, we found him alive! Adrienne came running into our room early Monday morning screaming that she found her hermit crab. It was on her bedroom floor scratching against her dresser. Hermit crabs are good animals to have because you do not need to feed and water them often. We sure tested this. He was without food and water for almost two weeks. Since the moment we put him in the cage, he has been trying to get back out! Part of his shell was broken. I am not sure if one of the cats got him, or if he broke it another way.

Ravioli Mess

Adisynne had ravioli and carrots last night, and I think you can tell that she enjoyed it. She has started smearing her food around her tray when she is finished. She thinks it is fun to make a mess!!

Having a good summer
