Christmas at Nana and Papa's

After we had Christmas at home, we headed to my Grandma and Grandpa Roberts for lunch.

It was 3:30pm, and Avery and Adisynne had not had naps. They were so well behaved. We then headed to Nana and Papa's to open presents and have pizza. Adisynne and Avery both caught up on their sleep on the way. Here Adisynne is opening up her Dora DVD from Papa and Nana. She also got a Dora doll, Dora Magnadoodle and Dora Comforter (along with many other things!).

Here is Avery opening up her Cookie Monster/Elmo shake toy.

Adrienne and Aunt Kimmy going through their stockings.

Avery thought it would be more to get on top of her present than open it.

Adrienne opening pj's. She also got brand new ice skates!Adrienne got twister for Christmas and here is everyone playing. Notice that Nana's head is on the floor!!

Merry Christmas

We started Christmas morning by opening presents at our house. Adisynne was the first one to wake up at 7:45am, followed by Adrienne at 8:05am, and Adisynne at 8:10am. Everyone had a great time opening presents, and they were thankful for what they received. Here is Adisynne opening her Dora place mat. Dora was pretty much the theme of Adisynne's Christmas. She also got a Dora moon chair and night light. Also, Dora related, she got the Diego Rescue Pack.

I managed to get all three kids to sit still and look at me for a picture. AMAZING!
Here is Avery opening her first present.

Ten minutes later, Avery is still on her first present. She kept at it though.

Happy Birthday to Avery!!

My baby is one today! She got very excited when we sang to her this morning. She has to go to the doctors and get shots and blood taken today; what a way to spend your birthday. Other than having shots, we are going to have a fun day playing.

Here is Avery one year ago today. (The dates on my camera are off)
And....Here she is today! She has so many funny looks as you can see from these pictures. She is also sporting her mowhawk. If I don't comb her hair after we wash it, that is how it dries!

She knows how to say "mama", "dada", "nana", "papa", and "ball". We said good-bye to her bottle a few weeks ago, and she has been off formula for about a month. She is now sleeping about 11.5-12 hours a night with one nap in the afternoon for about 1.5-2 hours.

I will update on her doctors appointment when we get back home. Adisynne also has her weight check today!

Decorating the tree

The kids and I decorated the tree last night. Adrienne loves decorating trees. She also decorated a miniature pink tree her room.

Adisynne did such a good job decorating. She helped Nana and Papa decorate their tree this weekend also, so she had a little practice.
What can I say about Avery...She was happily playing with the storage tub, and when I said her name and asked her to smile, this is how she responded. You have to love her big belly sticking out of her shirt too!Adisynne decided to sit in the storage tub.
The finished product.
I even was brave enough to put presents under the tree this morning, and we have gone half the day without one of them being opened. Wish us luck that it stays that way.

"GiGi"

I cannot tell you enough how much Adisynne and Adrienne love each other. Adisynne looks up to Adrienne so much. She loves to copy EVERYTHING she does. Adisynne calls Adrienne, "GiGi". When Adrienne was younger her friends couldn't pronounce "Adrienne" and called her "Ageienne". Then they nicknamed her "Age" or "Agie". We have been using this as a nickname for her also for a few years. Adisynne took all that and formed "GiGi". She asks me at least 6 times a day, while Adrienne is at school, "where's GiGi?"

Adrienne is so good to Adisynne. She is usually very patient with her, and loves to play with her.

Enjoying her coffee

Adisynne loves coffee. Here she is finishing Josh's cup of coffee. Josh actually asked the pediatrician if coffee was bad for kids and she said, "no". Coffee has an adverse affect on kids, it calms them. Who knew?

A hunt for the perfect one

All the kids standing by our tree.

Josh chopping down our tree.
We bundled the kids up this morning and headed out to find the perfect Christmas Tree. After only about 4 minutes of looking, we found a great tree.

"I cute"

Adisynne decided to color on herself with marker, and then tell me, "I cute". Despite her being cute, she had to wash it off and had her markers taken away for a few days!

Where did it go?

Avery loves to throw things in Sophie's food dish. Today, I found the cordless phone in the there. The other day, Sophie had red tinted water from a candy cane!

Adrienne and Adisynne play in the snow!

Adisynne wasn't sure about playing in the snow at first, but with a little help from her big sister, she ended up having a great time.
