The great catch up!

Okay, let me start off by saying, thank goodness for high speed Internet. Up until now, all we could get where we lived was dial up. High speed just came available in our area. Having dial up was the reason I have not kept up my blog as well as I should have been doing. Now that we are up and running on high speed, I can keep it up better.

Josh moved back to Michigan the weekend before we had Avery. He found a job at General RV in Wayland as a Business/Finance Manager. We are all happy to be under one roof again.

Adrienne has been busy with girl scouts. Her troop sold over 1000 boxes of cookies, and get to go on a bunch of trips because of it. They will be going to the Air Zoo, KVCC Museum, Bounce land, Michigan Adventure, and on a camping trip. She also has been busy with Battle of the Books. She is on a team of six girls. They have to read 12 chapter books ranging in level from 3rd to 5th grade. The first weekend of February they have a competition against other teams. They have to answer questions about facts from the books as well as authors and illustrators. She will be going to a softball clinic next month to get ready for softball this summer. And lastly, she is going to Florida with my parents for a week in March. Can anyone say spoiled? They will be visiting my grandparents, and going to Disney World. She is beyond excited, and has been trying to earn money from chores so that she has spending money.

Adisynne has developed the greatest personality. Most of the time she is the happiest little girl ever. She still likes to steal bottles but otherwise does not mind having a new "baby" in the house. She is starting to say more words, but "MOM" is defiantly her favorite word. She loves playing with books and her baby dolls. I know this is kind of early, but we have already started putting her on the potty. If you ask her if she has to go potty on the potty like a big girl, she will run into the bathroom. If you ask her if she needs a diaper change she hold her bottom and will shake her head yes or no. I don't think that she will be potty trained for a while, but she is interested in it, so we are encouraging it.

Avery has been a nice addition to our family. While our lives are a lot more hectic with three children, I think we are handling it pretty well.

Lastly, we got our dog Sophie back from Josh's brother. Sophie went to live with them when we went to St. Louis. She has been sleeping every night with Adrienne in her bed. They are so cute together.

Pictures of Avery

A very BIG yawn!
Adisynne getting ready to help me change Avery's diaper.
Avery has started to smile and coo. She has had colic since we brought her home. It has gone from screaming 3-4 hours a night for 3-4 days a week to about one day a week. The only reassurance we have gotten is that it usually disappears by about 3 months. I think she is about through it, and we could not be thankful enough. She sleeps about 3-4 hours at a time at night, so at least that is going well. Adisynne and Avery also take about a two hour nap every day at the same time which is wonderful for me!

Playing in the snow

Over Adrienne's winter break Adrienne and Adisynne played outside in the snow. Adrienne was so excited that Adisynne could play in the snow this year. This was Adisynne's first time. She didn't "play" a whole lot, but she liked the snow. They also went sledding with my dad, but I didn't have my camera with me. It was also Adisynne's first time sledding. She liked going down with my dad, but when she went with Adrienne, they tipped over and she would not even sit on a sled the rest of the time!

Christmas Morning

Josh woke up with Avery Christmas morning at about 5:30am, and he woke everyone else up! He was acting like a 5 year old on Christmas morning. That is why Adrienne looks so tired in the picture above!
Avery's first Christmas. She slept through most of the day!
Josh's brother was here from Louisiana, and stayed with us Christmas Eve. Here he is with Adisynne on Christmas morning. Notice that she also looks tired from being woke up by daddy so early!

Just hanging out in a basket

I am not sure why, but Adisynne loves sitting in this basket.

Best Friends

Adrienne and Adisynne are the best of friends. It melts your heart watching them play together. (And no, that's not Adisynne's car seat. She just likes playing in Avery's seat!)

Adisynne's Play Date

Here is Adisynne with my friend Emily's daughter, Olivia. The date on the picture is wrong. This was taken the day before we had Avery; 12-10-07. They are coloring with Crayola TaDoodles.
