Avery-4 month check up

Avery had her 4 month check up today, and she is one big baby! Her weight is 16 lbs 3 3/4 ounces, which is the 90 percentile. Her height is 25 1/2 inches which is the 75 percentile. She has been eating cereal and doing well with it, so the doctor said we could start with vegetable baby food. I can't wait to get some and see how it goes. Other than that she is perfectly healthy. She had to have four shots, and as luck would have it everything did not go smoothly. They had two nurses, and they each counted to three and went to give the first two injections. One of the nurses had a problem with her needle. She poked Avery, but could not inject anything!! They finished the last two, I calmed Avery down, and then they had to come back into the room to give the injection that didn't work the first time. Poor girl had to be poked one more time than necessary, and after I had already calmed her down. Hopefully that NEVER happens again.

She has been holding her bottle like a big girl. She is awake a lot during the day, and is sleeping okay at night. The periods of time she is sleeping at a time has gone down, but the doctor said the more solids she eats the better it will probably get. A formula only diet just isn't cutting it anymore!

She loves to put things in her mouth. She may be teething, but I haven't seen any crankiness, so it may just be drool. Her clothes get so wet that I usually end up changing her about 3 times a day.

Otherwise, she is just a happy baby. She loves to laugh, chuckle, and babble up a storm. I am just trying to enjoy every moment of her being a baby. It's hard to believe that she is already 4 months old. I know time goes fast; so when I am getting puked on, peed on, or woke up in the middle of the night, I know to just be thankful. I know there will be a time when I'll miss her being a baby.

My Highchair Girls

A rare moment

Adisynne has been in a picture kind of mood the past few days. The picture above she had found some suckers in Adrienne's room and came out with one in each hand. She was so proud of herself.

Enjoying the weather

Adrienne hanging in a tree.
Adrienne and Avery. Adisynne decided she didn't want to be apart of the picture.

Adisynne and Sophie love to watch for Adrienne's bus.
Adisynne was trying to figure out her skort. I think she was wondering why she had a skirt and shorts on.

Its tough being 18 months old........

I was on the phone and when I got off, I went to the living room to get Adisynne for her nap and she had fallen asleep on the couch. This is the second time she has done this in the past few weeks. I think all the outdoor play has made her very sleepy!

;)

Avery eating her cereal this morning. She is doing such a great job learning how to eat solids.
She is also becoming a great sitter. She still bobbles around every now and then, but every day she sits longer and longer. She has been learning so much the past few weeks. She stays awake most of the day with two good naps, and is sleeping great at night. She grabs everything in sight, and it goes right into her mouth. She is very vocal; laughing and talking to herself and anyone else who is listening.

I have been severly slacking on my blog and here is why. Last week I brought both Adisynne and Avery to the doctor, and they both had Upper Respiratory Infections and Adisynne also had an ear infection. They both are taking their medicine like big girls. When they were weighed, Adisynne weighed 21.1 pounds and Avery 16.5 pounds! She is so chunky! They are both now in the same size diaper. Joshua and I have also had bad colds and have not been feeling like doing much of anything. That doesn't work out so well when you have three little people who depend on you for everything!!

Adrienne is still very busy with Girls on the Run and with softball. Her first softball game is this Saturday and she is very excited to play. I will make sure and post some pictures on Saturday afternoon!

Just Because

A rare moment. Adisynne hasn't been smiling in pictures lately, but I caught a smile.
Avery loves to eat her toes. Any time you sit her down she grabs her feet, and in go the toes.

Adisynne and Avery's Baptism

Adisynne and Avery were baptized on Sunday. They both did such a great job.

My mom bought Adisynne and Avery matching dresses. They looked so cute. I couldn't get Adisynne to smile for nothing, but Avery was smiling at her Aunt Kimmy.
