Wonder Girl 5K

Adrienne had her Wonder Girl 5K last Thursday. She did a great job. I was so proud of her for finishing. She is looking forward to participating again next year. I don't have any pictures because my sister and I also ran in the race. It was amazing to see all the girls there. I am going to try and get pictures from a neighbor who also had a daughter participate, and I will post them then.

River Ridge Resort Camping Trip

We took our first camping trip this past weekend. We went to River Ridge Resort in Stanwood. We took a fifth wheel camper from Josh's work. My parents stayed with us for two nights, and Adrienne also brought a friend along with her.
Adisynne loves to cuddle lately. She gives what we call "wrap around hugs". She puts her little arms around your neck, and hugs you so hard. Here she is giving Nana a great big hug.

I had bought Adisynne new sun glasses, and she decided that she didn't like them and wouldn't keep them on her face. Avery keeps them on just fine, so they are now hers!
Adisynne out on the patio. She loved camping. She loves being outside, so this was right up her alley!
On Saturday, one of the activities was a blow up water slide. The girls had a great time on it. They played for about an hour and a half on it. Adisynne even tried it once. She made it to the slide, got wet on the slip and slide part, and then wanted out. The water was freezing.
Adrienne on the play ground. (That's a heart tattoo on her cheek!)
Adisynne loved the playground. She thinks she is a lot bigger than she is though! Adrienne pushing Adisynne on the swing. I know it looks like she is pushing her really high, but it didn't seem like it at the time. Adisynne was having a good time; she was giggling the whole time.

On Memorial Day, the campground held a Memorial Day service. This is what Avery picked out to wear to the service!
Avery and Daddy. Adisynne and Avery both slept great while camping. Avery slept all night every night we were there! Adisynne always sleeps well, but it was nice to see that camping didn't throw her sleeping off. Overall, we had a very positive experience camping with our three children.

Adrienne and her friend Shelby. These girls were in their bathing suits from the time they woke up until the time they went to bed!
The campground had craft activities on Saturday and Sunday. They made key chains, cooler cups, foam visors, bracelets, and necklaces.
On Saturday afternoon, they participated in a scavenger hunt. Adrienne was knocking on camper doors trying to get everything for the hunt. She was funny. She took her scavenger hunting duties serious.
On Sunday evening, they went to the clubhouse and watched the movie Hoot with a bunch of other kids, and also enjoyed popcorn!! They kept very busy all weekend.
On Monday morning, there was a bike parade. Kids decorated their bikes and paraded around the camp ground.

On Saturday evening, there was a band that played at the Pavilion. Adrienne and Adsisynne were hilarious. They were busting a move! Adrienne and her friend left early, but Adisynne kept on dancing. She had everyone laughing and pointing at her, and she was loving every minute on it. Josh and I felt bad when it was time to go because she was having such a fun time.
Adisynne sitting around the camp fire.
Joshua roasting marshmallows.
Adisynne had marshmallow all over her face. She approved of smores!

Avery is 5 Months Old

Avery is 5 months old today. She has been rolling around like crazy the past month. She is able to get up on her knees(with her head and arms on the floor), push off the floor, and drag her head and arms across the floor. I see a lot of rug burn in her future, until she learns she needs to get those arms up!

She hasn't been that fond of playing outside until recently. She didn't like the wind in her face. However, with all the softball games and time outside with her sisters, she is starting to come around.

She can now hold an 8 ounce bottle by herself.

She is sleeping from 9pm-4am, eating a bottle, and then waking at 7:30am for the morning. She takes three small naps (about 45 minutes-1 hour) at 10:00am, 2:00pm, and 6:00pm. She has also started rolling over at night and sleeps mostly on her tummy.

She is eating better than ever. She has fruit mixed with rice cereal for breakfast, and a vegetable with cereal for lunch and dinner. She has her bottles before her nap and bed times.
She loves sitting up by herself and playing with toys. She also likes sitting in her booster seat. One of her favorite things is peek-a-boo. She loves being scared; she cracks up!

She still does not like to be in her car seat much. I am hoping this changes soon, and I am sure the rest of my family hopes that also!

I will make sure and post some pictures of her later today.

Happy Mothers Day!

She Did It!!!

At 6:35am Adisynne woke up in her big girl bed! She did not get out of bed at all last night. When she woke up she yelled for me until I came and got her. The true test will be a twin bed with the safety rail. There will be much more room to get out of bed between the rail and foot and head boards. I'll let you know how it goes!

Big Girl Bed for Adisynne

We borrowed a crib from my friend Amy, that Avery has been sleeping in. Amy has found someone to purchase her crib, so we had to make the decision to either purchase another crib, or transition Adisynne into a big girl bed so that Avery could have Adisynne's crib.

I did some research online, and most sites said that the best time to transition is between 18-24 months. With this information, I thought why not give it a try!

Since we have Amy's crib for another week or so, I took the rail off Adisynne's bed today to see how transitioning her into a big girl bed would go. She did not try to get out of the bed once, and fell asleep as good as ever. I am confident that we can put the rail back on Adisynne's crib, give her crib to Avery, and get Adisynne her big girl bed. Let's just hope that it isn't beginners luck and she continues to do well!

Comparison of size

This is a good picture to show everyone how big Avery is compared to Adisynne.

Warm weather = Lots of Fun!

Of course she isn't looking at the camera.
Adrienne , Adisynne, and four of the neighbor kids ran through our sprinklers yesterday after school. They had a great time!
Daddy and Avery. Josh has Tuesdays off because he works on Saturdays. Usually it is rainy on Tuesdays, so it was nice that it was sunny and warm today.
This was the first picture I took of Avery. She was about ready to cry. It is funny to look at though.
Here's the second one I got. Much better!

Pictures

I am so proud of Adrienne. Her Girls on the Run team had a practice 5K today, and she completed it with no complaints! The girls were so cute cheering eachother on every time a girl crossed the finish line.
My children are addicted to telephones. First, Adisynne, and now it looks like Avery will be also. And, don't get me started on Adrienne. Her and her friends are always on the phone. If its this bad at 8, what will it be like at 16??
Adisynne is looking like the true hillbilly she is. Adrienne had just eaten a corn dog, and Adisynne stole the stick, dipped the stick in ketchup, and continued to do so until it was gone.

Adisynne's 18 month Check Up

Adisynne had her 18 month check up today. She weighed 22.8 pounds which is in the 25th percentile. Her height was 31 inches which is also in the 25th percentile. She also was suppose to get three shots, but only got two. There is a HIB vaccine shortage. so they are only giving it to younger babies. I was dreading her shots. However, Adisynne did not mind them. She laid there and did not make one peep. I picked her up and gave her a hug afterwards, and then sat her on the chair to get her shoes on. She peeled both band aids off her thighs, placed one on each knee, hoped off the chair, and was ready to go. No tears! She turns into a whole other child when we go to the doctors. She sits still, does what they ask, and over all is absolutely amazing. She has to go back when she is two for more shots, so we will see if things still go that smoothly again. I guess I should be happy that it even happened once.

Adisynne is still a great eater. She eats sliced, cooked carrots like other kids would eat potato chips. There isn't anything that we have found that she won't eat. This past Sunday I opened my mom's fridge, and she got out a slice of green pepper and started to gnaw on it.

She sleeps from about 8:15pm-7:00am; then naps for about an hour to an hour and a half during the day.

Her favorite words seem to be "hey" (saying it with attitude any time someone is doing something she doesn't like), "gross" (which she defiantly got from me), and "cool" (which she got from her big sister.

Her favorite things to do are play out side, go "bye-bye" (it doesn't matter where you are going), and taking baths.

Her personality is really starting to shine, and she's the kind of child where you can't wait to see what they are going to do next.

A Little Bit Of Everything

We took the girls to the zoo for the first time this year. Unfortunately, our camera died after one picture. Josh tried his hand at the Snuggly. Avery is under that hat somewhere! It must have fallen over her face before I took the picture.
I know Avery looks silly in this handkerchief, but her smile was so cute.
I love her blue eyes. She is the sweetest baby ever!
I picked a flower for Adrienne after she got off the bus and put it in her hair. She thought it was so cool!
I gave Adisynne a piece of bologna for the first time last week. She took a few nibbles, and then decided it would be better if she stuck it to the refrigerator!
