Avery's six month check up

Avery is now 19lbs 2 oz, which is in the 97 percentile!!!! She is 26 3/4 inches tall which is the 90 percentile. She also had to have three shots. She is very healthy, and is doing everything she should be.

She has her two bottom, front teeth, and I think she may be working on her two top, front teeth. She is moving around like crazy, and is pulling herself up on things. The doctor said we should start the "tough love" at night, and let her cry herself back to sleep. The past two nights though she has slept all night. At nap time she has been fussing about 10-15 minutes and then she falls asleep.

More Pictures of Tuffy

This is how Adisynne likes to carry Tuffy around. We have been teaching her the proper way to hold a kitty, and she is carrying him around much better now.

**Notice she is wearing underwear in this picture. She has been doing a good job of telling us when she has to go potty!

Adisynne loves Tuffy

Adrienne took this picture this morning. It is an understatement to say that Adisynne loves Tuffy. She carries the poor thing around all day long. Strangely Tuffy doesn't mind. She puts him in her play swing, play crib, and she must have thought that he wanted to take a pony ride this morning.

On another note, Adisynne has not worn a diaper while awake in four days! She is doing excellent at telling us when she needs to go potty. She is so cute when she goes. She gets so excited and has her head almost in the toilet to see what she did! Hopefully Avery will be excited this time next year to start potty training.

Avery now has two teeth. Her bottom two front teeth are in. She looks so cute when she smiles. I am still working on getting a picture of them. I think her gums are still sore because she doesn't like me messing with them.

Time Management at its best!!!!

I was trying to make dinner tonight, but Avery and Adisynne had other ideas of what I should be doing with my time. I decided I could kill two birds with one stone, and have them take their bath while I was in the kitchen making dinner. Mission Accomplished!

Introducing "Tuffy"

This is the newest addition to our family. Adrienne named him "Tuffy". She thought this was a good name, because he is not afraid of our dog, Sophie. He also did not mind our other cat, Snaps, hissing at him.
Here is Sophie and Tuffy laying together last night. Tuffy was born in a barn (no joke intended), so this was his first experience in a house. He did very well. He even has been using the litter box!

Fun Saturday Afternoon

This is what happens when you leave a container of baby food too close to the baby. I sat it down for one second to help Adisynne, and Avery had a great time with it!

Adrienne's game this afternoon was during nap time. Adisynne decided to take a rest in the stroller with her hot dog.

This is Jaiden and Avery at Adrienne's softball game this morning. They both are getting so big. They had a great time laughing and looking at each other.

Tooth Time

Avery was chewing on my finger this morning and, "OUCH"! She has a tooth! Her bottom right front tooth has poked through! Josh and I are in amazement that she hasn't been grouchy (not that we are complaining!).

Play time Outdoors

This is a new dress that Grandma Miller got Avery, but it fits Adisynne. It is size 12 months. She is such a tiny thing! Her favorite word is "stop". It is pronounced "bop" by her though. I thought it was cute at first, but not so much anymore.
Adisynne got this sand box at a garage sale about a month ago. It is little tykes with a lid, and I got it for $10.00! She loves the sand.
I was trying to get them both to look at me, but Adisynne decided she wanted to ignore me.

Adrienne's Softball Game

Adrienne was suppose to have a game last night, but only one girl showed up on the other team. Apparently the other teams coach canceled the game, but forgot to let one of her players know! They ended up scrimmaging. I at least was able to take some pictures of her playing. I have forgotten the camera, or forgotten to take pictures at every game this year.

Here she is on third, trying to ignore the fact that I am taking a picture of her!
Playing first base.
Avery and Aunt Kimmy. Avery did very well at the game last night. It was very hot, but she was a trooper. Here she is up to bat.Adisynne does very well at the softball games also. She likes to pick up rocks and give them to random people, and play with other little kids!

Avery is 6 months old!!!!!!

Happy 1/2 year old birthday to Avery! I can't believe that she is 6 months old already. She has been such a great baby.

She loves to pick on Adisynne and take toys away from her when they are playing on the floor together. She also loves to watch Adrienne and Adisynne play. She laughs and screams and kicks her feet so fast. In no time, she will be running around with them.

Avery eats baby food like crazy. Adisynne never really liked baby food so I am not use to a baby that loves it. You can see it in her eyes that she wants to eat real food. If she sees us eating, she lunges toward the food and tries grabbing it.

She is sleeping well. She takes three small naps during the day, and sleeps about 8 hours straight during the night. She will then have a bottle, and go back to bed for about an hour.

She can move around on her belly in the crawling position, but cannot yet get her belly off the ground.

She has really found her voice. It sounds so cute. It sounds like she is saying "mama" and "baba", but I think it is just sound and not that she really knows what she is saying.

These Boots Are Made For Walking

Let me start off by saying Adisynne LOVES shoes! I got a pair of brown and pink cowgirl boots from a friend of mine, and Adisynne wants to wear them all the time. They are two sizes too big, but she doesn't seem to mind!

Michigan's Adventure/Update

On Sunday we took Adrienne to Michigan Adventures. It was troop day, and a few other girls from her Girl Scout troop went also. We owe Grandpa and Grandma Miller a big thanks for taking care of Adisynne and Avery for the day! It was great to spend some one on one time with Adrienne.

Adrienne was afraid to ride roller coasters at the beginning of the day, but by mid day she was a roller coaster fanatic. She didn't conquer her fear of going on an upside down roller coaster, but I think next time we go she will be ready. After we left she was mad at herself for not trying it.

This was my first time on the pirate ship as well as Adrienne's. Adrienne loved it. I couldn't believe how high it swung. It doesn't seem that high when you are looking at it on the ground.

Adrienne and Joshua after a fun time at the water park.
This is Adrienne and I standing in front of the Funnel of Fear. Adrienne and Joshua have been on it before, but it was my first time. That drop may not look steep, but it is! We were all on one big tube. It drops you down that tube, and then you swish back and forth in the funnel and then get dumped out into a pool. It was so scary, but fun!
Here is Adrienne on "Grand Rapids" a white water rafting ride. Josh and I did not go on it as we were already dry, and didn't want to get re-wet.

This is here after. She was completely soaked! The weather was great today. We spent the entire day outside. Josh fishes on Tuesday nights, so the kids and I went to the park.

Adrienne's last day of school was last Friday. I cannot believe she is going to be in 4th grade. It seems like every year flies by faster. She is very excited that it is summer. I am trying to plan on things to do so that she doesn't get bored. Last summer was her first summer that she didn't go to daycare, and I found out quick that she was use to being entertained and got bored easily if we didn't have different activities planned. I will make sure to take more pictures of our activities and post them!
