Adisynne 6 month check up

Adisynne had her six month check up today. She had to have three shots. It was horrible! As soon as I laid her on the table she started crying and reaching for me. It broke my heart.

She is 16.8 pounds, and in the 65th percentile for weight.

She is 25.5 inches tall, and in the 40th percentile for height. A little on the short side!

Her ears looked good, which is a big relief for us. After going through two sets of ear tubes with Adrienne, I have had enough stress over ears.

The only possible concern was her tongue. Adisynne was born tongue tied, tongue attached to the bottom of her mouth, and had to have the underneath of her tongue snipped when she was 4 days old. This freed her tongue from the bottom of her mouth and made it so she could move it easier. Unfortunately, it can grow back together. The doctor checked it today and said that it looked like she may need to have a little more cut. Last time they just put some numbing ointment on the underneath of her tongue, and snipped it with scissors. Now that she is bigger and is moving all of the place, they would knock her out and do it. He is going to check it again at 9 months old, and then make the referral if need be. I am hoping and praying that it won't be a problem. I would rather have it done now than when she is a little older though. It can also lead to speech problems later on down the road if it is not corrected.

Mighty Minds!!

Adrienne was in a musical last night called "Mighty Minds". She played a student, and had two speaking parts. She did a great job. This is the back of her cape, which we made from a pillow case.

Doing her Mighty Minds pose.

Adisynne before the musical. She loved all the singing.
Not the best of picture, but here she is on stage singing, and yes, waving to us!
Another stage picture.
Belting her little heart out!!

Grants Farm

We took the kids to Grants Farm which is ran by Anheuser-Busch. We saw an Animal Adventure show, took a ride through a free roaming nature preserve, fed some baby goats, and saw many more animals.
Adisynne trying to pet the goat. I think she wanted to eat it!
Daddy, Adisynne, and Adrienne relaxing in the shade after lunch.

Adrienne enjoying a snack on the tram. The tram goes through a 180 acre nature preserve. It has over 1000 species of different animals in it. They are free roaming within the preserve. It was cool to see Zebra, Buffalo, and Deer up close and personal.

Adisynne decided at the last moment to pull Adrienne's hair. They are posing by one of the Busch Clydesdale's.

Adrienne took this great picture.

Bottle Drama!

Now that Adisynne is going to be a big sister, I have been trying harder than ever to get her to take a bottle. The little stinker just chews on the nipple and plays with the bottle. I did get her to take about an ounce and a half of milk out of a bottle this morning. She then got mad and realized that this is not how she usually gets her food, and cried. So for now, we still have bottle drama, but all I can do is keep trying!!

Cookie Monster(s)!!!

I meant to just take a picture of Adrienne being a cookie monster, but as I was taking the picture, Adisynne grabbed her cookie! She is taking after her sister already!

Thanks from Adisynne!

Grandma Miller sent this airplane for Miss Adisynne. She likes the lights and music!

Nana picked out this phone and put it in Adisynne's Easter basket. It has become her favorite toy!
