Adisynne had her six month check up today. She had to have three shots. It was horrible! As soon as I laid her on the table she started crying and reaching for me. It broke my heart.
She is 16.8 pounds, and in the 65th percentile for weight.
She is 25.5 inches tall, and in the 40th percentile for height. A little on the short side!
Her ears looked good, which is a big relief for us. After going through two sets of ear tubes with Adrienne, I have had enough stress over ears.
The only possible concern was her tongue. Adisynne was born tongue tied, tongue attached to the bottom of her mouth, and had to have the underneath of her tongue snipped when she was 4 days old. This freed her tongue from the bottom of her mouth and made it so she could move it easier. Unfortunately, it can grow back together. The doctor checked it today and said that it looked like she may need to have a little more cut. Last time they just put some numbing ointment on the underneath of her tongue, and snipped it with scissors. Now that she is bigger and is moving all of the place, they would knock her out and do it. He is going to check it again at 9 months old, and then make the referral if need be. I am hoping and praying that it won't be a problem. I would rather have it done now than when she is a little older though. It can also lead to speech problems later on down the road if it is not corrected.
