Family from Florida

Josh's Uncle Phil and Aunt Rayma were here from Florida and they brought along 2 of their grand kids which are close to Adrienne's age. They haven't seen each other since the last time we went to Florida (which was about 3 years ago) but you would have never known it! They remembered each other and got along great!

Fun Pictures of Adisynne

These were taken a few weeks ago when the weather was much nicer. She loves to play outside. She had a great time running around (thank goodness for the fenced in backyard) and playing with her sit on toy.

I can now get her hair into a small pony on top of her head. The back of her hair is curly and is longer than the sides!

She was playing peek-a-boo out the slider door!

Playing together....Well kind of!!!

Adisynne decided to crawl underneath Avery's toy with her. They were so cute!

On this day, Avery tired herself out from playing. I came back into the room and she had fallen asleep.

A quick update

I thought I would give everyone an update on what our family has been up to.

Josh loves his job at General RV. He also is counting down the days until Bass Fishing season. He will be fishing a Tuesday night tournament with his friend, Doug. He will also be fishing a few Sunday tournaments with his dad.

I just joined the MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers), group at our church. This is a group for mothers with children birth-kindergarten. The first session was great, and it was wonderful to have an adult conversation with other moms with young children.

Adrienne is a very busy little girl. She is participating in Girls on the Run (GOTR) for the first time this year. She attends this twice a week after school for an hour and a half. They obviously run during this time but also this program encourages pre-teen girls to have self respect for themselves and to create a healthy lifestyle. The girls will participate in the Wonder Girl 5K run at Western Michigan University on May 22 at 6:30pm. She is also doing softball again this year. She has practices twice a week, with her first game on April 19. Also, Adrienne and Nana found a recipe for growing Crystals, and Adrienne is going to enter the project in her school Science Fair on April 17. Last but not least, Girl Scouts is also keeping her busy every other weekend. Her schedule has turned me into a taxi!!

Adisynne and Avery get to hang out with other children when I attend MOPS. Their program is called MOPPETS. I think it is good that they have interaction with other children. Adisynne loves playing with the kids, and all the fun toys. Avery also did very well in the nursery. It helped that the same people who take care of her during church on Sundays were volunteering in the nursery during MOPS.

Avery has found her feet and loves playing with them. She is also able to hold a 4 ounce bottle by her self, but still struggles with the weight of an 8 ounce one.

Josh and I are going to his company Spring Dance/Dinner in Detroit next weekend. My parents are coming over to watch the kids for the night. Josh and I are excited to spend time together. We have not been away without children for a year and a half! This will be the first time leaving Avery overnight, but we know she will be in good hands!

Otherwise, we cannot wait until the snow melts so we can get outside and enjoy the outdoors, WITHOUT the snow! We are looking forward to camping this summer. With Josh working at General, we can use a camper for free when ever we like.

A little fun in the Snow!

Adisynne and Adrienne went outside to play in the snow today. It felt pretty warm with the sun shinning.
A pose from Adrienne.
Adisynne was eating snow off the bushes. It was so cute.
All bundled up!

Adrienne and Josh decided to build a snow fort today. It was a little bit of a process, and I don't know if Josh will be able to move tomorrow, but it turned out well!

Adisynne was trying to help. She looked like she was eating more snow than she was putting on the walls.

I don't know if this picture shows how good this actually is, but I was impressed with Josh's fort building skills.

Cool Gift Idea

My sister got me a unique gift for my birthday. Clinique will make their perfume with a picture on it that you send them. I got the Clinique Happy perfume above with a picture of Adrienne, Adisynne and Avery on it!

Happy Easter

DECORATING EASTER EGGS

This was Adisynne's first year decorating eggs. I think she had a great time.Aunt Kimmy and Uncle James also came over to help decorate.Avery was supervising us decorating eggs.Adrienne loves decorating eggs. The decorating kit Papa bought came with Easter stickers, so she couldn't wait for them to dry so she could put the stickers on them. The finished product!

EASTER MORNING

After we went to church we headed over to Nana and Papa's for more Easter baskets, an Easter egg hunt and a BBQ.

Adrienne and Adisynne found Easter eggs on the way into the house too!
Arriving at Nana and Papa's.
Here I am helping Adisynne going through her Easter gift. She got a play golf set, some sunglasses, and a watering can/sand toy set.
Adrienne got the Nancy Drew movie, nail polish, and swim goggles.

Here is Adisynne with all her goodies. She was so exhausted!Papa and Adisynne. Adrienne and Adisynne both are Papa girls. I am sure Avery will be also!Adisynne looking for eggs. She got just as many eggs as Adrienne did. She had such a good eye for finding them. Adrienne helped us hide some eggs last night at our house before bed for Adisynne. She thinks its fun that she gets to help do that now.Avery and I. She looked so cute in her little Easter dress. She got an Easter basket from Nana and Papa, and Uncle James and Aunt Kimmy, but slept through the opening of them!
Avery cuddling with Aunt Kimmy.Daddy and Avery.Adisynne has started saying, "girl". Everyone has heard her say it except Uncle James. We tried all day to get her to say it, but she wouldn't!

Avery-3 month check up

She is as healthy as can be! She is 14 lbs 3 1/2 oz, and 24 inches tall. Her height falls in the 75th percentile and her weight the 50th percentile.

Avery can sit with support so she said we could start some cereal. We are going to try her first feeding tomorrow.

She also received 5 shots. I have never seen a babies head get so red. She was MAD!

Avery was on her tummy and twice the doctor and I thought for sure that she was going to roll over. I cannot believe how close she is!
